Steven Kropper is an American businessman, wireless entrepreneur, and wind power advocate and founder of Domania, a home price-check website.
Early life
Kropper was born in Needham, Massachusetts, to Nancy and Jon Kropper. Steve lived in Ireland, Scotland, and ten states. Steve was active in the Boy Scouts and earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
Career and activities
Steve is Vice President at Parallel Wireless, the developer of LMLTE wireless broadband networking.[1]
Kropper founded companies including WindPole Ventures, a wind energy data company and Domania, the first national Web site that allowed consumers to find what homes had sold for; the company was acquired by LendingTree in 2004.[2]
Kropper's technology interests operate under the label Skunk Works Fund which is unaffiliated with Lockheed Martin his former employer.
Kropper serves as co-chair of Massachusetts Citizens for Immigration Reform, an immigration enforcement and reduction lobbying organization.[3] He is a Founding Fellow with the New England Clean Energy Council. He is a member of the International Association of Chief's of Police (IACP), the National Sheriff's Association and the American Civil Liberties Union.
Personal life
For seven years, he was active in Lexington, MA as an elected Town Meeting member, Chairman of the Energy Conservation Committee, member of the Noise Committee, and managed maintenance for the Pleasant Brook Pool. He is the father of two daughters.
