Jacques Myard (born August 14, 1947) is a member of the National Assembly of France. He represents the Yvelines department,[1] and is a member of The Republicans (France).

Myard made international news when on July 17, 2012, just days before the vote on a new national sexual harassment bill, male lawmakers in the National Assembly including Myard hooted and made catcalls as Housing Minister Cécile Duflot, wearing a floral dress, spoke about an architecture project. Myard told L'Express that the hoots were a way of "paying homage to this woman's beauty."[2]

In 2015 he visited Damascus to visit with Assad and 'a Hezbollah member' and he has vocally denigrated opposition to the Assad regime. Myard said he discounted opinion that the unofficial visit was misguided - 'I'm of the belief that the devil has some smart things to say."[3]
