DBMaestro

DBmaestro is a DevOps for Database company headquartered in Boston. DevOps is an approach to software development that enables better collaboration between the development and the operations teams. DBmaestro has been cited[1] by Technavio, a company that specializes in market research, for being a prominent DevOps vendor due to its ability to offer continuous delivery from the application side to the database side.[2]

History

DBmaestro was co-founded in 2008 by Yariv Tabac,[3] CEO, and Yaniv Yehuda,[4] CTO.

Technology and Integration

DBmaestro's flagship product, TeamWork, focuses on database development from QA to production and controls application specific data.[5] TeamWork integrates with solutions from IBM, CA, Oracle, and Perforce, as covered in eWeek[6] InfoQ,[7] and Database Trends & Applications.[8]

DBmaestro's TeamWork SaaS product is designed to reduce errors in database branch merges, prevent unintended database drift, expedite database changes, limit inter-team asynchronicity, ensure compliance, improve change logs and change storage, and dramatically decrease the day-to-day responsibilities of database administrators.[9]

DBmaestro's largest competitor is Redgate.

Awards and Recognition

In 2015, DBmaestro was recognized by the editors of SD Times as one of the industry's top innovators in the 'Database & Database Management' category" of their Times 100 list.[10] Also in 2015, the company received a vendor excellence in the category of DevOps solutions from computing.[11]
