Jürgen Prochnow, 10 Haziran 1941 doğumlu bir Alman aktördür. Prochnow, bir mühendisin oğlu olarak Berlin'de doğmuş ve Düsseldorf'ta yetişmiştir.[1] Uluslararası alanda en fazla bilinen rolleri; bir denizaltı kaptanını (Heinrich Lehmann-Willenbrock) oynadığı Das Boot (1981) ve Dune filminde oynadığı Dük Leto Atreides rolleridir.

Özel hayatı

Prochnow 1970'lerde evliydi ve Johanna adında bir kızı vardı ancak 1987'de öldü. 1982'de Isabel Goslar ile evlendi ve Mona ve Roman adlı iki çocuğu oldu. 1997'de boşandılar. Şu anda Los Angeles ve Münich arasında gidip gelmektedir. Şu anda Alman sahne yazarı ve oyuncu Birgit Stein ile birliktedir. ABD vatandaşlığını 2003 yılında aldı.
