Edith Stein

Edith Stein, Azize Teresia Benedicta, (d. 12 Ekim 1891 – ö. 9 Ağustos 1942) filozof, rahibe, Katolik Kilisesi azizesi. Yahudi bir ailede doğan Edith Stein 1922 yılında Hıristiyan olmuş ve vaftiziyle birlikte Katolik Kilisesi’ne mensup olmuştur. Papa II. Jean Paul tarafından 1998 yılında azize ilan edilmiştir. Stein aynı zamanda tanınmış filozof Edmund Husserl’in öğrencilerindendi. 1942 yılında Nazi Soykırımı sırasında Auschwitz’de ölmüştür.
